Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Th e Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is coming to MISSION SAN JOSE CHURCH, as well as other parishes and locations in San Antonio. This missionary image is an exact replica blessed and touched to the miraculous tilma that remains intact at the Basilica and Shrine of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Mexico City after 480 years since our Blessed Mother’s appearance to St. Juan Diego in 1531 A.D. Texas Leadership Coalition, a Catholic evangelization and educational non-profit organization is her guardian while in San Antonio. In response to the USCCB call to actively participate in our communities during the national “Fortnight for Freedom campaign, please join us as we venerate, pray and praise our Blessed Mother’s presence Mission San Jose Church on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 3pm to 8pm.
Our Blessed Mother’s presence will enrich and magnify our petitions as we unite in prayer during the Fortnight for Freedomto beseech her to console her children today as she had done in Tepeyac when she promised to“hear their weeping and their sorrows, and remedy and alleviate their sufferings, necessities and misfortunes.”
